Old Sarum

Our intrepid explorers, not to be slowed by a simple thing like the English Sleeve :-) have dug up another interesting find that I had never heard about : Old Sarum.

A quick visit to Wikipedia filled me in on the essentials, though, which I pass on to you now.

David, Christine, and Susanne at Old Sarum
"Old Sarum is the site of the earliest settlement of Salisbury in England.  The site contains evidence of human habitation as early as 3000 BC.  Old Sarum is mentioned in some of the earliest records in the country.  It is located on a hill about two miles north of modern Salisbury next.

Live and learn!
